Week 4 – Summary
Let’s start with the East 4A.
In the Wilmington derby from last Tuesday 3/21 the freshman Kieran Bradley recorded a hat trick for Ashley as the Screaming Eagles won a battle of unbeatens in overtime, 4-3 against Hoggard. Ashley now with 8 wins in 8 matches became the number one in the overall ranking North Carolina.
The week was not good for the Cardinal Gibbons starting with a loss 1-0 for a lower ranking school from Raleigh, Enloe Eagles who also belongs to the same Cap Six conference. The Crusaders won 2-0 on Wednesday 3/22 versus Leesville Road from Raleigh.
Hough had easy matches with lower ranked schools finishing the week with two matches under mercy rule.
Ardrey Kell hosted Marvin Ridge last Wednesday 3/22 in a match without a winner with a final score 1-1. The Knights finished the week with a 9-0 conference victory over a lower ranking school, Olympic
Week 5: Game of The Week
Get ready for an exciting match this coming Saturday 4/1 between Ardrey Kell and Ashley at the Screaming Eagles Stadium in Wilmington.
Ashley is the number 1 ranked in the state and Ardrey Kell the number 11. (3/23/2023).
